Linksys range extender re6500 not working


You can set up your Linksys range extender if your Linksys range extender re6500 notworking well.  This can be done by any of the two ways, either by using the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button of your router or by using the embedded Setup Wizard. 
You need the following information from your existing Wi-Fi before setting up the Linksys RE6500.

a.            First, you need the Wi-Fi name of your network.
b.            Then, you need the password and the security key for your network.

The following are the steps that allow you to set up your Linksys range extender.
             First of all, you have to connect the antennas to your device and switch on the power supply to the adapter.  For the best results, you need to position the Antennas in the upright position.  You can use your antennas with your Linksys RE6500 if you have the high gain antennas.              After that, you need to place your range extender between the area without Wi-Fi and your router.  Make sure that you have a minimum 50 percent Wi-Fi signal from your router.
             Wait for the light present on the top of the range extender to turn solid.  It will take about 3 minutes to turn the lights to solid.
             In the next step, you have to connect your device to the range extender.  You can connect to the default Wi-Fi name of your range extender by using a computer or a mobile device.  The default Wi-Fi name of your range extender is somewhat similar to Linksys Extender Setup-xxx, where the xxx is the three characters at the last of the MAC address of your range extender and is unique for everyone.
             Then, you need to enter the web address http://extender.linksys.com or in the address bar and then press enter.  You can also go to the web address 192.168.1.1 if your Linksys range extender re6500 not working well.
